I found this one but that is it. Not sure I like the sound much more than what I can do myself. Although that may be because the demos don't really show it off particularly well. I'll probably buy it if I have to but I'd rather find something else.

I'm looking for samples (would prefer one hits) or an instrument of hits and percussion from all over the guitar. Not chasing melodic or chordal content. Any others out there I have missed. Would prefer free or reasonably low price.

That's what I thought. I did find one other Wiesel Audio or something like that but it was more an effects version of percussion. I'm chasing something more raw.

Some stuff like that in my free Shinyguitar - a few hit locations with round robins. Not much, though.

Plinks from vintage guitars, a ukulele, a banjolele, a music box, toy instruments, a beaten-up piano, kitchen glasses and a bicycle wheel. Samples are .ncw

Thanks, will check that out.

Thanks for that. Pretty cool, but not what I am after. More chasing the sound of hands on wood. No not that kind.

Although I'm really specifically looking for acoustic guitar percussion that is a pretty good Cajon library. Might have to pick it up.

I think the cajon (filtered?) may be best.
By the way, here's the Hendrix total destruction percussion šŸ”„ and it's free.

For this kind of thing I use VSL Upright Bass library, a patch called Body Noises, 32 of them, some a bit similar. Banging on the big bass. Definitely not processed, natural. Some reverb and it's pretty moody ime.

It's cheaper than I thought it would be but still a bit much just for the body hits. Shame I can't just buy the hits.

An idea a bit out the left-field (i.e. I haven't really thought about it, not tried it, so it probably wont work....) but how about using acoustic guitar IRs together with some short, dry percussion samples?

There's a selection of free ones here if you scroll down;

If you're OK with double bass samples and don't want acoustic guitar specifically, I've done that too - eight percussion sounds with five RRs (but no velocity layers) in Meatbass. https://www.karoryfer.com/karoryfer-sam ... a/meatbass

Thanks, I'll give them all a try. Basically I'm not a percussive guitar player but I'd like to use some of that for live backing tracks. So anything in that ball parks, hit guitars, cello, cajon etc will do nicely.
