Hugh Laurie as House was also convincing, but I knew him from Black Adder, so there wasn't really any surprise.
house was good.
dont know the other bloke

hows you, im just playing with these fools while im high but it's too late for noises :D

I'm good. Not high, though. Harvest is weeks away.

It's never too late for noise here, though: having a house with a basement lined with fiberglass has advantages. Also, my wife could sleep through world war three.

I was here looking for some old freeware. No luck, but the forum caught my eye. I should probably get back to work, I was actually making some progress recording some of the items on my long list of written but not yet recorded songs. :o

There's a great scene in Band of Brothers where an American is talking to a Brit who throws a bunch of cockney slang at him, ending with "know what I mean, mate?", to which the American answers: "Not really."

You know what Shaw said: "America and Britain: two nations separated by a common language."

least theres a harvest coming :tu:
wish i could do the noise, but i rent a terraced house
one side is a prick, hes fairly noisey himself at inappropriate hours but the other side is a nice older woman.
he works nights though, so i get to return the noise all day :D

Also, Fullbucket Deputy is a cool little plugin. I've been using the hell out of it lately. I've been trying to emulate the sounds in some older recordings and it (along with an old copy of Ferox) has been a big help.

I'm thinking of starting a cult wherein everyone uses only 32 bit freeware to capture that "2004 sound".

I imagine it will be a very small cult.

Ouch.

Ok, cult members must use 32 bit freeware AND Naiant X-Q microphones. Now THAT will be an EXCLUSIVE cult.

Post

Seriously, the best 64$ I've ever spent. They're still my favorite mics to use for drum overheads.

Post

They also work well on acoustic guitars.

Post

nice. cant argue with that price :tu:
and importantly, like you say, they keep the cult exclusive 8)

Well, since the plan for a fake international one man band featuring a bearded guy wearing nothing but a mask and a onesie fell through, I'm looking for anything to fill that sad and gaping hole in my life.
