Don't get me wrong guys, but there are some plugins with soft copy protection that never compromised, like Syl1 & Rapid. Can't Avenger adopt the same protection method?

No dongle for me. I am okay with something like Codemeter. U-he has very innovative and unobtrusive copy protection. If a serial appears in the wild, it is blacklisted and reverts to demo mode. I would be fine with something like that.

I haven't checked, but I don't believe (from past threads on protection) there is any software that hasn't been cracked irrespective of the copy protection. You cant stop it happening, just delay or deter it a little.

The most effective protection is frequent free updates, ultimately it is far more convenient to buy stuff than keep downloading cracked versions.

Manuel how about if you don't put 1.5x on a demo in the vengeance page and we the customers only could do the update on the vmanagement and it updates by itself when we put our license key we got when we purchase Avenger

That whoever tries to crack 1.5x won't have the dmg or exe file since you can only get it on the vmanagement and it won't even be safe on your computer. And they might have the key but not the file for the software

They already often lack up-to-date demo versions which didn't stop anyone from cracking the new ones + not offering a demo and forcing people to blindy buy a plugin is a no-go these days + I don't think that the demo versions even were compiled with all the features in it but are a special version.

Omnisphere seems to be selling quite well and has never had a demo version...I don't think it has ever been cracked, either.

There'll always be exceptions. Doesn't mean this is valid for all. Especially for a plugin that is highly resource demanding, system dependant and has a history of bugs and crashes like Avenger, a demo version is mandatory imo. I don't own Omnisphere and I surely never will (even if I'd be interested, no demo = no buy).
