i used to use a gaming keyboard years back that had the tape control type buttons, it worked in orion but i couldn't tell you if it worked in general sorry

Yeah, works here in Studio One as well, and, i think it also worked in Cubase and Reaper.

You can't expect that the keys work when the window isn't focused, though. At least not the regular keys, spacebar etc. The media keys might still work.

I don't think so. But he did mention it's good that we aren't 69ers
