looking for leads on free (or extremely affordable) image enhancement. its been over a decade since i saw a paper on making very hires images using more advanced processing than only interpolation, but web search returned sod all.
imo the pixelisation in my image editor (cs2) is alright to about 400% with interpolation. it would be nice to try some 'csi' style enhancement as well.
these are from deepdreamgenerator, especially good results with heironymous style -
pretty much fits to anything well
if you have a go at ddg, some param clarification -
enhancement - 0 enhancement copies the bosch texture with detail, a little bit smooths it out some, high enhancement smooths the details in the texture out to make it fit more i guess, losing detail. imo the bosch works best at low or medium (none has a bit too much 'original painting grain' for me).
style scale - check the horizontal resolution of source and style images for ratio
fractals as texture - paste something else over those bandy bits
