I think there is a tool where you can create a GUI from scratch, for any VST. You would map your controls durivng the development of it.
"VSTGUI" I think.

Not my work - an ONLY an image file.

VSTGUI I think

Does this synth have only ugly GUI's?

Post

yes

Post

It was also one of the first if not the first synth to allow user Color preferences and GUI re-sizing. It also still sounds great and it's free so......

Instead of 'ugly' I would say 'functional' :D
CrimsonWarlock aka TechnoGremlin, using Reaper and a fine selection of freeware plugins.

Exactly. I don't think it's ugly unless you go with some wild color scheme that would burn the eyes in five minutes. Is it "beautiful" like some more modern GUIs ? No, not in my opinion but as you say it is very functional. That partially explains why there are ten thousand patches for it....well that and the fact that even after all these years it still has a unique character.

I just go with this color scheme and make it 250% size. Perfectly functional.

I still go for ugly. :D

This is still below the bar for functional for me. I'll go with workable.

Anyone with some tenacity I think this is a way to make a new GUI. This is the VST that is only a skin and can control another VST. SOMEONE !!!! DO IT!!!

mGui hasn't been updated in almost 12 years. There's no guarantee it would still run these days and it's almost certainly 32 bit only.

But go ahead and give it a try........

I am running x86 Presonus Studio One v3 on WinX and it works.

It will work.
