+++ A SUBMISSION +++
After a final bunch of hard core improvements the track is ready for OSC.
Here's the improved contest version without samples - https://soundcloud.com/p-e-t-e-r-h/wake ... ot-version

Murdas ~ 30
DistoFX 2
tremendous amount of FX, the best FX, best FX in the world, believe me, not a single shit hole country FX...only Bitwig and MeldaProduction Delays, Reverbs, EQs, Multi-Band Containers, Compressors...and one OTT.
I did a lot of crazy automation and mixing tricks to be able to orchestrate that massacre into what it is now.

Hello all, here my submission!

First of all one of the rules:
"Cover tracks are not permitted." :uhuhuh:

Okay, I know ... but I had to make this intro/ending when I found this synbrass sound :wheee:
I hope I will not be disqualified for this reminiscence ... :-o

In my opinion Bazz::Murda is underrated, when you only make heavy kick and bass sounds. There is much more in it ...

I already uploaded my track last week on SC, but was quite unhappy with it. :(
Then I read the post of TrojakEW about mixing. I deleted the most of my effects, started to locate every track in the mix and made a subtle adjustment with the EQ.

Regarding your track you created awesome stage :tu: . I have only one thing about it and it is most audible in intro (and also outro), that low brassy pad panned to right is too much. I tried to center bass frequencies up to 200Hz and it sounds better. Yea I know there are same tracks that have panned instruments with low frequencies and still sounds good but I do not know how do they do this. So for now I can only say that you could try to center those lows or maybe somebody with good mixing skills can provide us how to do panning for those type of instruments correctly.

You have a lot of space there regarding loudness -19.1 integrated but still you have here some clipping on left channel +1.39 db. It should by somewhere between 1:28 - 1:32 where you have that overdrive guitar.

I will add some more comments on sc later. Great track.

You're right. I panned the low pad to the right side because I placed the bright pad/strings on the left. Probably not the best sort of balance, but I wouldn't put all three tracks in the middle

Probably a "not-full-to-either-side" pan will do the trick. You can even play with panned reverbs/delays, like the right panned track feeds into the left panned reverb and vice versa...this will give you good "room" even without extreme pan settings. And please not forget that low freqs a less locatable then higher freq - meaning low to left and high to right gives an imbalance. In rock tracks sometimes you have guitare 1 right and rhythm guitar 2 to the opposite. they fill the same frq range and thus the pan separation helps them. If you want separation you can even separate with mid-to-side: Use the mid for prominent stuff and side-emphasize for beds...lot's of options and even combinations possible.

My first time participating in this challenge, and I enjoyed it a lot. This synth really made me want to make a industrial techno tune and it came out kinda flowy and progressive, I'm very happy with the results. Looking forward to the feedback & listening to all the other submissions!

60 instances? in the next challenge maybe 120 or 200 instances? It's really impressing...

Absolutely, this is actually a pretty good soft synth! the waveshaper is also pretty damn good. I needed a synth like this. It makes for a lot of interesting sound design.

I've re-uploaded my track, last mix... I don't care anymore  I did what I could.

28 instances.
A few instances of the distortfx as well.
IIEQ for eq
ModernSeventhSign for compression
epicVerb

on the master,
Unlimited and A1StereoControl for a little widening.

I really wanted to get in there with the sound design for this synth, but Bazz::Murda doesn't make it easy with the envelope controls. I think to reach a broader audience it would need to make those real fine tunings (especially in dist level and envelope control) available. Regardless, I think the synth is brimming with character and I felt pretty inspired regardless of where I was in the track. Had a lot of fun, thanks!

Here's this months piece.
Sound design was challenging on this, and I spent way more time than normal getting things to (kinda) sound how I wanted them.
