That gave me the impression the MX team is a pretty small one. Well, at least they seem to be keeping it going.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Fri Sep 06, 2019 1:22 amPretty crap update feature list for x.1!Jim Rosebrook wrote: Fri Sep 06, 2019 1:06 am And NI just released more presets for Massive X and previewed next month's Massive X update... nice!

Not to look a gift bourse in the mouth, but given all the issues with X, more presets (that you can’t find) and a different coloured skin would have been a long way down my list. Some animation on the ‘pictures’ of envelopes is obviously welcome, but should have been there from day one.
I have to say also, that in my opinion the dark skin shows how cluttered and fugly this synth is, not a flattering look!

X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Awesome. Massive X is a top synth, just needs a bit of polish.
I don't get where all this negativity about Massive X comes from.
(Oh, I know - from KVR).

Actually not just KVR. And there are plenty of reasons why people were pissed about MX, maybe you simply pretended to not see them.DJ Warmonger wrote: Fri Sep 06, 2019 6:47 am Awesome. Massive X is a top synth, just needs a bit of polish.

If you can't see them by yourself, well, glad you could look past the many flaws MX was delivered with and still enjoy the synth.

Anyone with basic knowledge of UI/UX design can see why the interface is so messed up.SLiC wrote: Fri Sep 06, 2019 6:42 am Not to look a gift bourse in the mouth, but given all the issues with X, more presets (that you can’t find) and a different coloured skin would have been a long way down my list. Hell, even people who don't.
So many design choices led to wasted space in some areas, cluttered controls in other, the interface is a mess. Which is a shame, massive x has decent sonic capabilities but let's not forget that the interface is a tool to manage sound design, and if a tool is not comfortable to use it's not necessarily a good tool and getting the desired result is sometimes excruciating.
I'm not even mad, just extremely disappointed. It seems that Native Instruments is spiraling down towards incredible mediocrity, and forgot that they are missing a huge opportunity neglecting actual professionals instead of hobbyists.

Also, I love the GUI. Similiar concept to Serum, with a bit of LuSH-101 aesthetics.
If you expect perfectly working software with no bugs released at day one... well, you will be disappointed many times in your life
I'm not pissed about anything, I welcome new tool in my arsenal. Didn't have any real problems with Massive X so far.people were pissed about

I do understand some of the critique and I can agree the release feels somehow rushed but yes, it's a top synth. Actually for me personally it's too good to be true for 2019. I wasn't expecting someone would now release a synth with an awseome sound chararter similar to classy old VA hardware because people's tastes seem to have shifted to more clean and characterless sounding synths.tapekiller wrote: Fri Sep 06, 2019 7:07 amActually not just KVR. MX wasn't well received and people don't seem to consider that such sound and all the awesome features MX has got, including some very innovative ones, can excuse its numerous but minor flaws, I think it's even somehow sad. This actually makes me worry about the MX fate, especially in view of the recent news, looks like it's a prime candidate for being discontiuned in favour of Machine expansions, 8-knob romplers and such.
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

I also like Massive-X. At any rate, it is far too early to make the claim it is a failure of a synth, really?
Many of its faults seem to be caused by an early release. As time goes on, those will go away, of course.

Note I said subscription ONLY would be a bad move. I rather own my stuff, you do.. a lot of people do. Subscription options are great..chk071 wrote: Thu Sep 05, 2019 11:39 amArguable. Obviously, the film and music industry have great success with subscription models. I don't know how Roland is doing.lwj wrote: Thu Sep 05, 2019 11:34 amSomeone from NI (on NI forum) said this won’t happen. I think that’s as official an confirmation we’ll get. Going subscription only would be a monumentally stupid move.Izak Synthiemental wrote: Thu Sep 05, 2019 10:44 am Personally, I'm not very fond of online based subscription only models, if this is the way they want to go.
Regardless of whether i like it or not. I rather own my stuff as well.
