I read enough on glassdoor to make me want to avoid this company forever. I refuse to join Adobe's cloud subscription model and I won't join this one. My sympathy is to all the workers who now have to look for jobs due to the hubris, greed, and lack of vision that NI senior leadership is showing.

PM me in 5 years if NI is making the best software in the market, and not asking a monthly/annual fee for it. And if their glassdoor rating gets above four stars.

Oh man.. a dream come true finally. New announcement from Cubase.

Dear customers. It has been brought to our attention that some customers believe that we make a shitty old linear DAW which is used by old people to make their shitty old music, and they may be correct in their assessment. We have decided to “get with the times” and become “hip with the nation”!

We have heard that our totalitarian brothers at Native Instruments GmbH are bankrupt and gone up the creek without a paddle, so to speak; thus, we have decided to help them and our customers out and make the most of this ever so dire situation. Together with our ninja overlords Yamaha Corp., we have scrapped together our pennies, dimes, marks and Euros and we will be buying Native Instruments and embracing them with open arms into our fold. We will be including and extending complete integration of the Maschine hardware and software with our Cubase product as of the next Cubase 11.0 upgrade and our customers will not have to jump through hoops to make it work and we will be hip and cool with the people that make cool modern music once again.

The gigs & gigs of NI legacy content needs to be re-packaged in modern, scalable GUI's.

Made more uniform and friendlier to correlate what is seen on screen to the mapping of the knobs on their keyboards.

And perhaps also made friendly to touch-screen considerations.. "Sidecar" coming up in the next MacOS will be very interesting.

I'd pay for this.

And those of us who already own the old packaging of this content will likely enjoy special pricing on the re-packaged content.

And maybe this re-packaging is really the innovation that will actually benefit our creative workflow instead of chasing some new & unheard of sound....

Not seeing the context, and thus having to take a blind guess, I'd say they mean someone who is both logical/analytical (left side of the brain) and also creative/artistic (right side of the brain).

So they'd want someone who can program software but also write music. Most people seem to fall into one or the other camp. Different dominance in the brain perhaps.

Some people could be considered two use both sides equally.. I guess that's what they mean by 'dual brain.'
