It's silly to think that a piece of software that hasn't had an update of any kind in MANY years is not dead.el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote: Sun Sep 08, 2019 7:31 amNot really into that, personally. However, I'm sure there is someone in your local area that you might find to satisfy your coprophilic tendenciesreggie1979 wrote: Sat Sep 07, 2019 9:09 pmPoop on you.el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote: Sat Sep 07, 2019 8:32 pmYou got all the way through writing that comment without realising that a lack of updates doesn't signify a lack of development? Great jobreggie1979 wrote: Sat Sep 07, 2019 8:22 pmWhen was the last time there was any update?![]()

Me thinks you guys who think it's perfectly up to date are simply reacting to the "everyone jumped to Amplitube" part

I just used it about an hour ago, seemed to be in good health. Shocking how quickly things can go downhill.

No! What's silly is your constant repetition of the same argument i.e that lack of updates is equal to lack of development.reggie1979 wrote: Sun Sep 08, 2019 4:29 pmIt's silly to think that a piece of software that hasn't had an update of any kind in MANY years is not dead.
I have no interest in what "everyone" is doing. People are free to use whatever tools are available to them.reggie1979 wrote: Sun Sep 08, 2019 4:29 pmMe thinks you guys who think it's perfectly up to date are simply reacting to the "everyone jumped to Amplitube" part![]()
It's also worth pointing out that I don't think I've heard anybody say that Guitar Rig's emulations beat Amplitube's, or any other of the more recent amp sims; at least, not for a long time. So I'd be interested in you providing some numbers to back up your contention that "you guys" think all is rosy in GR-land.

also, you cannot kill that which does not live.
the non living cannot die.
software is not alive.

Just checked the Guitar Rig manual again after some time:
Grain Delay, Psyche Delay and other stuff is actually quite cool!
Thought I should buy the Soundtoys EchoPack second hand, but I don‘t have to.
These effects are here in my plugin folder...

#MeToo. A lot of the guitar stuff I do is effects-heavy, and GR5 is fantastic for this.
