I don’t think native instruments have been completely honest with their statement. I think that the layoffs are a result of a projected decrease in revenue as a result of implementing a subscription plan for komplete. I also think after the subscription plan goes into effect that even more layoffs will occur. That’s market saturation for you.

What evidence do you have for that?patchhunter wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2019 2:02 pm I don’t think native instruments have been completely honest with their statement. So, you think they came up with a potential plan, did proper due diligence in investigating that plan, but upon realising that the plan would be worse financially for them, have decided to go ahead with it anyway, starting by compensating for the financial shortfall by laying off staff instead of changing the plan?patchhunter wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2019 2:02 pm I don’t think native instruments have been completely honest with their statement. And you're saying the plan wont work, so they'll double down on not addressing the financial failures of the plan (failures that they've already identified) in favour of staff layoffs, something that they've effectively just proven isnt a solution to the financial failures of the plan.
Is that right?

Even when it includes accusing a company of lying with no evidence that they did so?patchhunter wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2019 2:39 pm What he said.. You do know this is a speculation thread.

True to some extent, but I think starting out by suggesting that what seems like a reasonable press release is lies is not really just speculation.
You should at least wait until the second paragraph...

This is one of the weirdest threads. It was all speculation, then some serious stuff, then a bunch of people saying it was fake news, and now we're accusing NI of misleading us. Oh internet, you are so wonky!
