Hello,

I was thinking last night after some folks had expressed an interest in buying a CD of my work (oh okay there was only two people..). I had an idea where I would offer 'pick and mix' CDs - the idea being that you pay £1 for the CD itself and say 50p per track that you want on the CD. So you could get 12 tracks for £7 (mathematical genius there).

I'm not saying that I'm going to do this (not enough tracks available yet) and of course if I did I have no artwork or anything so it would be a real homemade CD-R job but I wondered what you all thought of the idea in principle.

Any thoughts?

no actually its a good idea,i was merely pointing out that my tunes can be quite long.didnt mean to dishearten you at all,i say go for it.
why the f**k shouldnt you get something back 8)
you may only sell one but who cares, its one more than you do if you dont try and aside from that it is actually a nice feeling when someone does buy some of your music.

good luck :D

Cyph

go for it I´d say.

I think the idea is great.

Maybe, if I send you a cd and maybe 4 of my songs, can you do a cd for me and I choose 4 of your tracks?

But ya know my songs are 1€ each so you gonna owe me a bit, but you can burn 5 songs and will be ok.

Well I´m talkin bu.....t here

definately I think this is one of the best ideas for marketing I heard in the last time.
Yes go for it.
sound is vibration, vibration is life

 I was trying to work out why you put the big gap (....) in the word 'but' and then I just got what you meant.

Thanks for the feedback Stephan, I'll hang on to the idea until I have a few more tracks to sell...
