lmao that key costs a quarter of Avenger's price, it's insane and I hope it won't be mandatory.
Ghislain2b wrote: Thu Sep 12, 2019 3:55 pm Does codemeter require a permanent internet connection or only for activation of the software?
I seriously hope that's going to be an option, otherwise I won't be able to use Avenger on my laptop when I'm travelling, and that happens often. The best for me and many others would be hardware based license. Fingers crossed.

Why? Is there an unique answer for every single customer? I doubt it. What about updating your FAQs instead? Could save you and us alot of time!

So the rest of the VPS plugins will stay with e-licencer protection?

First: There is a Software Manager for online and offline. Second. For real... If you don't can pay 50€ for a dongle, you better search for a new hobby.

Maybe Vengeance can do special update offers to those who wants to go with the usbkey.

Back then selling your license was: buying a fixed transfer fee (20$ or so) and telling them who's the future owner. And then you shipped the elicenser with the license on, easy procedure. Don't know why it should be different with avenger or why it's a mystery :D

Because Avenger don't have a dongle to ship probably.

smarty mc smartface on the way  The thing they have to do is rewriting a entry in the database to the new owner, like before. That you can redownload your avenger license instead of shipping a dongle is an even more easy thing.

Yep, thinking the same. I can live with a one-time activation.

For anyone with license transfer questions I'll just post the required steps here to save you (and the support) some time:
1. Buy the License Transfer HERE. It costs €25 + VAT.
  • IMPORTANT: If you buy the License Transfer as a seller, make sure to expand "Show more
input fields" in the lower left corner and uncheck "The Recipient or Licensee is the same as the
Purchaser". Then put the buyers details under "Recipient Information" and your details under "Billing Information".
2. Your old license will be terminated and the new customer will get a new key when he contacts keilwerth@vengeance-sound.com and sends:
- The invoice of the license transfer
- Your old license key
- Your original Avenger invoice.
  • IMPORTANT: If you have bought a Pick 5 Pack from Sweetwater and still haven't used up all five expansion slots in your account, then those unselected slots WILL NOT be transferred to the new user, so beware of that. One solution is to ask the buyer, before doing the license transfer, which expansions he wants and then select and register them in the account. After that everything will be transferred properly.
Hopefully that clears up some of your confusion. Just email the support if you have any further questions: nicole@vengeance-sound.com

^Thanx, Puddi!

€25 + VAT... I'll NEVER EVER pay that. Looks like I'm stuck with 1.4.10.

I'm confused - I thought it was said 1.5 would not have new copy.protection and would be a free update from 1.4 ?

Edit - the thread was confusing I didn't realise there is a hardware and software option for the new protection
