@pgcarea51 - still 'watchin ya'? No. What I'm saying (and it doesn't seem to come across too well though the words I'm using are fairly simple) is 'I don't understand what you are talking about'.

Nocompromise, sometimes I think some guys take things way too seriously.

I liked Wopelka. He's not "oh, my God, I'm so offended" by the joke I made involving gay musicians, otherwise he would be replying and unleashing hell over me right now.

Thats about irony and having fun. Something many of my gay friends (yes, I have gay friends) are pretty much able to understand coz they are the biggest jokers about themselves.

I hope nobody here was silly to the point of taking these posts seriously. Now that would be a tremendous dissapointment...

I think that opinions, beliefs, morals and sexuality can be changed by the media (or by KvR forum).
I'm not trying to start a pointless arguement.

Nope. Actually some people vote for Blair n Bush, and a subset of them may change their opinion based on who they voted for.

People watch TV and get their opinions changed.

Why should a music forum NOT be able to do this, if all other forms of media and control do?

Firstly, the music forum itself does nothing. Opinions presented by individuals on this forum may or may not contribute to the reassessment of opinions of other individuals on this forum; it is probably unlikely that any individual who does reassess their opinions does so solely on the basis of someone else's opinion; other factors would probably be involved unless that person is incredibly susceptible to pursuasion.

Secondly, 'other forms of media' do not do this. Some other instances of other forms of media may at certain times contribute to people changing their opinion, for a variety of reasons.

Thirdly 'media' is not an idea that can be ubiquitously conflated with 'control'. Generally, 'media' is an endeavour of the redistribution of entertainment, information, art et.c.

i know, but your previous statement replying to my post used the word opinion a couple of times. i was talking about sexuality, not opinions. so i wasn't sure why you kept saying opinions.

opinions, yes. beliefs, maybe. morals and sexuality, no. not from a forum. if a person's morals and sexuality were changed from a forum then they weren't true to begin with.
