Can I install Kontakt Player and all sounds on my internal, non-system drive?

Just got a new Windows 10 laptop for work, but which I'd like to be able to use for some minimal music stuff if I'm on the road. The system drive (C:) ain't huge, after installing Windows, MS Office and other staples I've got like only 30 gb left. I believe Kontakt Player incl. samples takes 6 GB, a bit more than I'd care to commit. However my D: drive has 1 tb. Can I install everything on the D drive?

Yes, you can install all libraries in a secondary drive. I would install Kontakt in the main drive though - I have all NI instruments, and FX installed under Program Files\Native Instruments, and the plug-ins under Program Files\VstPlugIns. You can't even change the location for the VST3 plug-ins.
But all these are small files though. The big ones are the libraries, and those you can put anywhere you want, as long as you "locate" them from inside Native Acess. to register them at the proper location.
You can even define a directory in the secondary for all the content files in Native Access (Preferences) prior to the beginning of the installation, and this way all the libraries will be installed right from start in the secondary drive.
