It's actually from Winamp, running the Milkdrop visualization plugin in "desktop mode", where the viz displays as the desktop background!

And let me tell you, after a few beers the animation can get you seriously tripped out.

That's Winamp in the bottom right hand corner, by the way.

Otherwise, my desktop is Just Plain Black.

ctrl-print screen ... then paste into your image editor and resize etc

Im a memory saver freak so my desktop is blue...

but i see many of you have nice desktop pictures, i might get me one for some inspiration....

a simple one that dont use too much memory
