Win7 64 bit, daw Reaper and S1, both support vst3

Oh cool, working outside today, but this evening hopefully I can download 11. I'm super curious as to how it manages CPU as a VSTi in Live, DP10 etc.

Considering it's rack approach my guess is the Reason VSTi becomes my go to for big stacked sounds.

Maybe I was overwhelmed by browsing all the Rack Extensions at once, but I’ve seen a RE that does loop slicing without the need of rex.

You don’t have to, upgrade is optional.

I'm not sure if this helps but Reason doesn't support VST3. However, the "rack" is ONLY VST3.

Yeah, many of us are wrapping our heads around that.

Yeah that's not whining, that's pointing out that there isn't a reasonable upgrade path for your situation. I had a similar issue with iZotope where there used to not be any reasonable path from O8N2 to Production Suite, and they eventually came up with one.

It's too bad Reason doesn't allow transfers of RE's, then you could sell off the redundant stuff and make suite a real possibility for those of us that already own stuff.

Another fantastic option would be to give us a list and we choose

Make sure your DAW is scanning these folders:

Mac OS vst3 location
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3
Windows vst3 location
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\

Upgrade from Reason 11 to Reason 11 Suite is the same price as upgrade from Reason 10 to Reason 11 Suite: €249 EUR

No trial version of the rack plugin? I can only find demo mode in the standalone. Although their site says both are available as trials.

3. "Standard" Reason 10 Full Version instruments include a lot of built-in devices that simply do not exist in the Intro version, so - that answer depends on what you're talking about exactly.

Thanks for the answer, I should have been more clear but I am really totally unsure how the versions might or might not work together/site by site.

Of course main and obvious question: will the main synths that are included in standard 10 but not in intro 11 work in the intro vst rack ? Especially Malström, Grain sample player. I did not find a way in the beta of standard 11 to let me show the content of standard 10 (does not make sense in this case cause they are the same apart from the new ones but would make sense if I have the reduced Intro 11 content) and I am not sure if its my lack of knowledge (where is the right path to show the instruments for example) or if it simply dont work.

Another idea might be to make a combinator with simply the Malström in it and then try to load in the intro rack but would be really good to know it this is possible before deciding intro or studio (standard upgrade is worthless in my opinion).
