Korg Mono/Poly. Still one of my favorite synths.

Yes I remember Crystal. In that time, there were few good free synths and Crystal was one of them. It was like poor man's Absynth. Anyway, I was in the Yahoo group that time and the developer was active answering all warshippers questions, but he chose to ignore mine :( So I was very disappointed and the rest is easy to guess :hihi:
You'll be happy, dear Tintin... because myself I don't use Crystal either (I too just remember this time, like you).
:hihi:

Cheers!

Keep in mind FL comes with VST verison and Rewire, so you can control it through another host. I did that (Rewire) with Orion just to play with the old 'WaveFusion' synth built into Orion. :)
Forgot you could do that. Thanks :)

Cheers mate :) I don't even remember what was my question :hihi:
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Bitwig 5, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

I thought the question was what synth ‘did you start with?’ If it was what’s the oldest chronologically speaking it would still be Reaktor/Generator. If it means oldest and not updated hmm, i guess Tera? Tassman? Not sure, just about anything i use has been updated since i got it.

zerocrossing wrote: Mon Sep 23, 2019 6:58 pm Are we talking about actual age, as in never updated, or do updates not count?
Version counts.
I meant that if let’s say you use latest version of reaktor than it doesn’t count as old vsti , but if you still use Reaktor version 1 than it qualifies as old

Camel Audio Alchemy. I'd pay any price for a stand alone version of Alchemy 2 that would run native in Live. Still makes me sad.

Also I have a version of Reason 3 that I stopped updating because of Rewire. It worked, but was awkward to use. Reason 11 came out today and I'm probably going to upgrade because of the VST3 rack.

Tried out Steinberg Model E yesterday... i can only say that soft synths have come a long way. :D Actually, the oscillators are not too bad. Filter tech is light years ahead nowadays though.

Same! Something special to me about it’s 90s VA sound
