Anybody know how long the $129/$249 upgrade prices last? I don’t see anywhere anything about that being time limited, don’t have enough prior experience with Reason (only got it last year) to know how it normally goes with upgrade pricing

I do not know about the $249 Suite deal but regular Reason upgrades have been $129 for at least 5 years, with occasional sales where it drops to $99.dbender wrote: Thu Sep 26, 2019 4:37 am Anybody know how long the $129/$249 upgrade prices last? Weird. When their page clearly states «The trial comes with both the Reason Rack Plugin and Reason standalone.».EnochLight wrote: Thu Sep 26, 2019 12:58 amFrom the manual :reggie1979 wrote: Wed Sep 25, 2019 10:20 pm I cannot figure out how to get into the 30 day trail. "Demo Mode is only available in the stand-alone version of Reason not in Reason Rack Plugin."
If that's the case they should have it on their site, not buried in the manual.
It also says «Note: the trial period begins as soon as you click any of the download buttons.». Was it supposed to start a 30 days full trial connected to my user when the download started? Can't find that in my account.

Well so far Reason Rack is 50% in OS X Mojave, Testing in Live 10 and Bitwig 8 track, it's fine, uses a decently low amount of CPU for those DAWs.
Testing in Reaper it crashes hard, consistently so far.
Testing in DP10, it shows up in the Plug in Manager as passed evaluation, but does not show up as a VST or VSTi.
The other DAW round these parts is Logic. So Live it is for now. Was looking forward to it in DP and Reaper though.

This is a major drag and a cruel tease! What's the point of all this hype & Trial version if we can't even experience what it is like to use Reason rack as a plugin???kae wrote: Thu Sep 26, 2019 5:19 amWeird. I tried it in Reaper, Studio One - Same problem. There is no way you can demo Reason rack as a plugin! There is no 'DEMO MODE' button for plugin rack!!!
How am I supposed to evaluate how great it would be to insert Reason as VST without being able to try it????
Props, please do something about it! At least give is a restricted rack plugin demo! That'll do.
Without trying rack as plugin, it's a tough call to upgrade!

I'm demoing the Rack without any issues on Cubase. I first activated the trial by running the standalone version with my account. After that when I load the vst on Cubase I get the "x days left" popup directly, it doesn't ask to log in. Also make sure your DAW is scanning the folder where the Reason plugin is.

There seems to be some confusion... demo mode is different from trial. In trial mode I have full functionality for 30 days, demo mode works ”for ever” but with very limited function.

Demo mode and trial are not quite the same. A 30-day trial will authorize both Reason and Reason Rack Plugin. We're looking into an issue where some accounts don't properly get a Reason 11 trial license. This happens to just some accounts but I hope to have that sorted out today.kae wrote: Thu Sep 26, 2019 5:19 amWeird. Bought it and it's working pretty flawlessly in live 10 on mac.
I love it but..
why did it take them so freaking long to do this
On a seperate note, now I guess I don't need that Europa VST

It's a shame that you can't demo the Suite. I'm debating where to go from R10 and I really wanted to give Scenic a try before deciding.

Aha. Thanks for sorting that out. I was starting to doubt myself here. Am I blind or am I stupidAnosou wrote: Thu Sep 26, 2019 9:04 amDemo mode and trial are not quite the same.
