When I try to copy and paste a section of my song in Cubase, it's not copying over my automation lanes.
I have all the lanes open, and when I select the area, all of the automation squares/curves are selected. When I paste it though, no automation curves copied to the new section.
What am I doing wrong?
Why Is Cubase Not Copying My Automation Lanes?

The quick answer is use the range tool, select the automation, and paste.
But What editor are you in? I’f you are in the midi editor there is a button that looks like a hill located somewhere on the top part of the window (sorry don’t have Cubase available to ssee what this is called). With this on, when you select midi it will also select the automation that goes with it, making it easy to copy and paste both in one go.

And of course there are tons of YouTube videos on Cubase, the ones by Steinberg do a good job showing stuff like this as well.

You want to go into Preferences and establish you want Automation Follows Events.
And in Key Editor the little 'hill' icon means Auto Select Controllers, so notes selections include the controllers in the lanes.
