Well, it looks like Propellerhead is only supplying the existing Rack Extensions and MIND is doing the hardware, so you saying that Reason has such few DAW updates because they are putting a lot of resources into this hardware (ad)venture doesn't seem correct.stash98 wrote: Thu Sep 26, 2019 4:57 pmSeems more like hardware integration with a partner, but I just posted a link that you can check out. Unfortunately we are still in speculation mode.festeringheap wrote: Thu Sep 26, 2019 4:47 pmWhat hardware would they be working on? They failed with Balance already.stash98 wrote: Thu Sep 26, 2019 3:44 pm ...but the reason 11 so far does not have a lot of DAW updates is because I believe they have put a lot of resources into their rumored hardware in addition to rolling out this VST rack. Honestly, these are pretty impressive moves that take a ton of man hours.

My 2-Kronors
I don't know if it matters (today/stuff updates) but I downloaded the 30-day trial yesterday, and installed it just like ok, good, thx-let's go, then straight to my DAW and added the location for the VST3 in Common, so not even touched the Reason DAW itself and started any reg-business with that, only the VST3 Rack plug-in, maby that would make a diff? no touchie anything else'ie maby works best, I-i-i - dunno, just a thought and that's how I did it anyway.
Ahh, if you are interested in the Reason DAW, then don't look at me (today) don't know (yet, and scared to try)

I think your 30 day trial starts when you first click to download. You're on the clock now.reggie1979 wrote: Thu Sep 26, 2019 5:20 pm I just want to do the 30 day trial of reason 11. There is nothing that I can see on the website that activates this. What would be nice is if someone who knows the secret hand shake help with this.
I don't want to run it in demo mode, I can't load my older projects to see if things are cool.
You have to be online before you open Reason to open your older projects.
At least that's how it was for me when I demoed Reason 10 2 years ago.

First of all, thank you. It will not allow me to be online, and I don't know how to "be online first" .... Open 10?festeringheap wrote: Thu Sep 26, 2019 5:46 pmI think your 30 day trial starts when you first click to download. Yeah, but there is no way to do the 30 day trial. Is this possibly because I own 10? I remember trialing 10 coming from eight though.SmajjL wrote: Thu Sep 26, 2019 6:02 pm If you can download the trial then I think you are online, hmm.![]()

Yeah I hade the same problem'o since I have trial'ed 10 before, but on the 25th, Reason 11 was officially out and no-one can say I've trial'd that! and their computer/system agreed with SmajjL on that and let me go get it.
If you just ask me as a civilian in a coffee shop, then I would say, sure you can by my guess but I am pretty new to Reason, can't say by my own XP.
Ninja'ed: wait! on three?, 1..2..3.. *Doh!!*

I am attempting to help, despite your animosity.reggie1979 wrote: Thu Sep 26, 2019 5:20 pm You haven't helped, nobody has and it's frustrating. There is no more support so I can't ask them.

^^ This was posted by Anosou - he works for Reason Studios - earlier in this thread. Have you tried this?
Is a Reason 11 trial license showing up in your account? The trial issue should now be sorted! Head back to https://www.reasonstudios.com/en/reason/tryreason and grab a download again to get a trial license. You can confirm you got it by looking in My products.
*EDIT
Looks like you got sorted. Congrats!reggie1979 wrote: Thu Sep 26, 2019 6:14 pm DOH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tried Reason 11 plugin in Studio One 4 latest and Reaper. I'm somehow less impressed how bad the optimisation inside Studio One is. One Kong and europa machine sends the CPU to the roof. The more you add a pattern the more it will become CPU intensive. Even maximum dropout protection doesn't work. The other thing that I noticed is Dr Octo rex in Reason while playing and jumping from one pattern to the other works like a charm but the plugin format is somehow out of sync. That being said, The only reason that I will be buying now if I buy the intro version is to use my Re which I purchased and left them in my account. That will happen only when they release the AU version. Great job Propellerhead! at least it is a start and keep improving and we will see what will happen next. Best of luck!

What we can do today is a-mazing and it helps a tad that we now have the CPU power for it all, would be abit a challenge 20 years ago, incluuuding higher res!

Ok, i'm pushing my luck now..

Weird, it's okay here. It goes off the bottom of my small-ish laptop screen by a tiny bit but apart from that it's working great.
