I don't believe I have any image editor after using XPlite
. Where would I find such a thing?

Start - Run - mspaint.exe
just push the printscreen/sysRq button and ctrl+ v in mspaint
and you got your desktop in there =) remember to close all those nasty sites you love to view before you print the screen

I believe that I deleted when I was clearing out space on C drive using XPLite.
So unless I reinstall somehow - I have my original XP disc but would rather not go this route as I want to keep my C drive as small as possible. Is there another program I can use?

Thanks Triptocoma!
I definitely deleted all my imaging editors in a fit of cleaning thinking that I have never used them and don't plan too.
I do have Nero CoverDesigner though which allowed me paste my desktop image.
Damned if can remember how to post images.
OY! CoverDesigner doesn't work.

Triptocoma, The programs you referred me to are not free or impossible to use. Pixia was incomprehensible. I suppose I need reinstall MS paint from my WinXP disc. How teh heck do I do that? And is it worth it. I think not! Forget it! I just won't mess with images period.

By far the best sight for desktop images is
http://www.digitalblasphemy.com
I have about half a dozen images I rotate thru during the year.
Right now, I'm using a friends computer to get onto KVR. My 'puter was destroyed from the hurricanes in Florida, and I'm waiting to get a replacement. I've installed a few basic music apps to keep from going insane. Watching TV is not an option, cuz it's all about the coming election, and other drivel.
What I've seen from the screenshots, there are a few good ideas I've come away with. Like getting rid of all the shortcuts altogether.
