Also my personal opinion too.

Just checking, but there's HiDPI support and Retina support in the latest builds, which keep the UI pretty big onscreen... can I check what OS/host you're running, and what resolution/scaling? 'cause it should just automatically be showing up at a decent size.

Please add resizing, I already mentioned it to your partner (I think it was Krzysztof) and understand you chose the "right size" but I still think for me it could be a little bigger, like 25%. Always keep in mind, that when running natively 1080p (or higher) on a laptop without scaling it's quite small. I want my DAW do be native non-scaled but plugins to be bigger. Please reconsider adding resizing as almost all of your plugins have it (Equilibrium, Multiplicity, Limitless, Expurgate, Essence, TrackMeter). Thanks

Hey Dave - I run Win7 SP2...Samplitude Pro X3....32 inch monitor at 2560x1440. The plug shows up on my screen about 5x6" at that setting. At the more common setting of 1920x1080 it's about 7x8" which is a good workable size for me. My graphics are just the built in Intel HD....nothing too fancy or tweakable.

New models?

I couldn't find release notes, but from what I can gather there is a brand new API 2500 emulation (though don't tell their lawyers I said that), the 76A has been reworked and improved since the last beta, and there was at least a polarity or phase issue with the Zener that was resolved.

How does Dave model compressors so fast? Some other well known developers cant model a single one in couple of years.

I was thinking about the same thing...how is it possible to bring out compressors models as fast ?

A 2-4-8x oversampling setting would still excite me a bunch...

AFAIK the work has been in the back end, getting a system in place to model compressors from the circuit diagram. With a solid back end, I guess new models can be produced quickly from new circuit diagrams.

Seems similar to Cytomic's approach with The Drop and The Scream - many years of work on the back end, with a view to being able to add new circuit models quickly down the line.

Although Cytomic is a different story :)
He is too much of a perfectionist.
I mean The Scream has been in beta since what, 3 years? It's great, but he also wanted to do several other pedals etc.

Dave on the other side release more often and also substantial updates. Ok, he is not alone and has a good support team.

Not to mention we have been waiting for the glue HD update for years. Anyway, well done Dave, I hope 2500 emu will rock!

Post

It does. Would be nice to have an updated manual for the new models too.
