Pace? Izotope has their own installer.
> will i have orphans for the rest of my days?
If you are talking about orphan files, then like most software on your computer I would assume the answer is yes.
If you are talking about your dating choices, I'll need to know more details.

^^
I don't
Don't the Uninstall choices work? (In the Windows > All Programs ... menu here). I selected the "non-iLok" / challenge-response authorizations. So I did not get any PACE bits (I hope).

I got the free ozone from KVR marketplace and the order didn't go through lol. I'm sure they'll sort it out though.
I don't make audio products anymore. I sell furniture & smart products.

Really? ... hmm, I should have stayed @ v5 standard (currently using the bug infested, slow and quite CPU heavy v8 advanced) and never ever pay attention to iZotope news. I see what they are doing marketing wise and am very disappointing. Too bad, their software has great potential.

They seem to have f..... the whole website totally, if I log in for a moment I can see something flicker on the left site, then nothing apart from "We make innovative audio products that inspire and enable people to be creative", yes, thats really innovative, no account and download and product info anymore. At least I am happy not to have to see this insane blue colour anymore....if this is what Ozone 9 is all about.....
I really wonder that most companies seems to think if they dont f.... their website totally at least one time a year they are not hip or what ? Login process have changed, think they thought they are one league with microsoft or what ? Only thing I hope one day I will getting my account and product info back.....

Phew....if I go back to izotope.com and then from the account button on the right site I can go to my account and to my products, so they only seem to have destroyed this new stuff, that dont worry me much.

It seems they are in the middle of updating their homepage.
Perhaps it‘s better to go there tomorrow, when they finished the process...

Believe it or not, but I'm more interested in CPU performance and resizable GUI than fancy mastering features.
However, matching EQ as a separate plugin might seal the deal since I do it all by hand and don't have Gulfoss
Waiting for reviews. Especially performance tests
EDIT: upgrade for me seems to be priced at 149 USD.

I'm getting $99 to upgrade from O8S to O9S or $199 to go to O9A.
Might be worth it to wait a few days at least to see what third party stores offer in terms of upgrade pricing. I won't have any new tracks ready for mastering for at least several weeks anyway.
However there doesn't seem to be a huge amount of new features in O9S compared to O8S. Most of the cool stuff seems to be reserved for O9A. Not exactly sure what I get from the O9 upgrade except a resizable GUI unless I go with Advanced. CPU usage doesn't matter to me since I only apply Ozone to the mixdown.

Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care

There is some overlap, but Neutron 3 Advanced is a much more comprehensive channel strip that's geared towards mixing, compared to Ozone 8 Advanced being geared specifically towards mastering.ariston wrote: Thu Sep 26, 2019 6:27 am I got Ozone 8 advanced for 80 $... well worth it. It's a great mixing tool as well, which prompts the question: why should I get Neutron? I don't use the magic wand features at all...
The two really should be kept as two separate processes IMHO, but since iZotope trumpets the whole inter-plugin communication now as a USP, it makes keeping those two processes separate a lot more difficult.
Personally, I keep them seperate just to keep my workflow optimized. I use Neutron 3 Advanced as it's intended: a channel strip. It gets used during my mixing process, and to some degree, during my production/writing process.
Ozone 8 Advanced I run standalone and then master a mixed down stereo track.
I'll have to keep Ozone 9 Advanced on my radar. I like the fact that they improved CPU performance and made the GUI/UX re-sizable, and improved the metering. I'll have to spend some time with the demo to see if the new tools are worth the price of upgrading, but if O8 Advanced is anything to go by, discounts and sales started happening several months after it launched.
