Why there are no news or video reviews of Ozone 9 yet, if it's available for sale?

It‘s sooo good, it needs no marketing.

Anyone can buy from JJR when its a download...doesn't take a lot of imagination when you enter the address and play with PayPal….usually works out a lot less especially if you live in a country that adds 20% tax...EnochLight wrote: Thu Oct 03, 2019 1:21 pm Yeah, that JRR coupon find was awesome (well, for us Yanks anyway).
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Right. I just know some of our compadres across the pond aren't wise to this, and often ignore buying from there.SLiC wrote: Thu Oct 03, 2019 4:35 pmAnyone can buy from JJR when its a download...doesn't take a lot of imagination when you enter the address and play with PayPal….usually works out a lot less especially if you live in a country that adds 20% tax...EnochLight wrote: Thu Oct 03, 2019 1:21 pm Yeah, that JRR coupon find was awesome (well, for us Yanks anyway).

Audiodeluxe is also another good option for EU buyers - in USD (no VAT) currently a 15% fall discount.EnochLight wrote: Thu Oct 03, 2019 5:17 pmRight. Fabulous upgrade price if you are upgrading from Ozone 5 (for the same price as from my 6 month old 8!)
...the only way we are going to stop these companies punishing their most loyal customers for regular upgrading is to stop buying the upgrades...

I'd be wary of any reviews that pop out within hours of a new plugin launch. The Ozone suite isn't something that you can use for half an hour then write up a review. Honestly most Youtube reviews are more like first look previews. I prefer more comprehensive reviews from guys like Admiralbumblebee - the guy literally leaves no stone unturned.DJ Warmonger wrote: Thu Oct 03, 2019 4:30 pm Why there are no news or video reviews of Ozone 9 yet, if it's available for sale?

Some quick performance testing - just adding serial plugin instances on top of sampled loop until CPU breaks.
Spectral Shaper 8 vs 9:
Both 4 plugins in series, with same CPU usage hitting 90% in each version. Adding 5th plugins goes well over 100% CPU usage and is unusable.
Ozone Dynamics:
Ozone 8: 8 instances max playing smoothly
Ozone 9: 22 instances hit exactly 100% CPU usage.
So yep, depending on what you use - no performance or almost 3x performance improvement.
Systems spec:
Ryzen 1700 @ 3,6 GHz
88200 Sample rate
Buffer size 384 samples
Ableton Live 10.1.1
Windows 10
I'm not very excited that biggest CPU hog got no improvement at all, however using some Ozone Advanced plugins all around a project might now be much more viable.
No, I've got no time to do thorough tests for each and every plugin in a package.

Any chance you could do thorough tests for each and every plugin in a package?
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

I find the upgrade offers, when logged in infuriating. It's all so confusing, offering discounts on products you already own, bundles with almost every product you already own etc.
It's terrible, but I think it's on purpose. :/
