Hi, I use Reaper but have been having a look at Cakewalk. I cannot find a way to do this ( simple in reaper) task
Riffer > Obelisk > Synth
where Riffer generates a sequence that goes into Obelisk which generates chords which go into a synth. I might have some more midi fx in there as well eg an arp after obelisk then maybe some thinning then the synth.
Everything I have heard about Cakewalk so far makes me think I would need a track for each of those processes - 3 minimum and often 5 ! Which is not at all attractive.
is there a simpler method akin to the Reaper "everything on one track" workflow ?
thanks

I think Cakewalk doesn't support MIDI Vst plugins, except in the DX format. There's a few of them included with the program.

yeah, you could include that in a feature request in the official forum. There are some rough edges no doubt but the development pace is actually pretty good with lots of added features, improved workflows and bug fixes. But I guess that if you're using MIDI plugins it's just not what you need.fairlyclose wrote: Sun Oct 06, 2019 7:03 am thanks - yeah it is not looking good.
