playing in my backgrounds, so I might need an upgrade

No problem installing, worked right away in windows reaper,
wine-staging 4.16, Mint 18, should be fine with linvst, as the other IK products
usually are. This includes a Leslie and stomp section, advanced tweaking area,
some fine presets, and would be a boon to any effects rack doing covers, or new material
where a full-on B-3 is desired.

I've been looking seriously at getting the Mod Duo, but I was hoping to find a sound comparison between it and the Headrush Gigboard. This one looks very interesting too!

The reviews show pros and cons, it appears to be an offspring
of Eleven Rack, a pretty nice unit I bargain shop for on some
really slow nights, Headrush even comes with some variant of a
Pro Tools license. The ease of use factor and improved sounds
downstream from Eleven Rack are good selling points. One review
pointed out flaws in fast gear switching, limiting some types
of live use. Another found the sound selction a bit limited
compared to the ads.

Get both? ???

Sweetwater likely have a solid returns policy you could verify
before purchase.

Good news, after updating to wine-staging 4.17, the vst2 Hammond
showed up after a reaper clear-cache rescan. I currently have the vst2, vst3,
and standalone running simultaneously in windows reaper in wine,
each with different presets, and gui's happy, and as an aside,
in another desktop window, the linux reaper is running Massive X demo,
a nice tribute to the versatility of linux, reaper, wine/wineasio, LinVst, and the jackd sound system.

I can see an i9 grade cpu in 2020, should the taxman show mercy

I'd love to find a head to head comparison on sound quality and features somewhere. I've probably read the same reviews you are mentioning. But I hadn't thought of the Sweetwater return policy. That's something to consider.

Glad she survived! My wife had a surgery a couple weeks back,
just one night in the hospital, but the bills haven't yet started
waddling in...diagnosis, radiology, anaesthesia, she who wielded the sword,
and her team of knights in white satin...thankfully,
a more professional gathering can hardly be imagined,
the nurses were smart and careful, truly a delight,
and the desk jockies even pushed through
the paperwork saving a second nights cost and drudgery
(perhaps with a nudge from a slight hint of a scowl beneath
the whole linux beard thing )

I decided to skip the nice IK group buy, to be on the safe side,
and with Christmas coming for the wee little ones...

in linux as did the previous versions. It's midi arp output can drive whatever
synths are in your track count, great fun, and the One has a nice selection
of sounds, with 200 more added in this release, discussed at

It installs by a standard installer .exe, and registering is easy,
by a serial number and license file, easy to get at on
customers account page, 24/7 where all purchased product
downloads are in residence. I copied my license file to my
Documents/Synthmaster One folder, and good to go.
I love the default gui, and there is a new one
shown at the discussion link above.

The original SynthMaster also works in linux, and if a wave-draw window
flashes sometimes, it's background color in the skin content
folder can be edited in gimp to match your chosen system gui.

With all due respect, but you shouldn't do that. You do that too in the LinuxMusicians forum. Makes reading large posts a real chore. We used to press Enter at the end of a line when we used typewriters. It is not necessary anymore and makes reading text difficult.

AudioAssault, a busy plugin designer are adding linux vst versions,
starting with a nice reverb. I use their GrindMachine ampSims
to make the cat dance like J-Lo (well, after it lets go of
the ceiling )
