To the FL Team. Not only make updates also make some effects or more synths so we can buy them from IL (like the amazing Sytrus) Maybe a deal with ReFX so we could get Virus at a good price? (although I've bought JxnoX so I could also buy it now, ReFX also ROCK).

I want that Image Line grows bigger and bigger and earns more money so it could keep developing the most wonderfull music app ever made. Love FL Studio :D

Totally wrong thread, but I can't get my Looptalk cookies working since I reformatted, so I'll just chime in here:

Is there an "audition in place" feature in FL5? It's the one remaining request that I have ... to be able to cycle through drum sounds and hear them in-context while I'm playing my drum loop. If it could work through-the-channel that would be great too, so if I have a clap going to FX12, I could audition IN-PLACE a bunch of other claps (in place of my current clap), and they'd be routed through the channel settings as if I'd loaded the sound ... all the while with me just tapping the down arrow in the file-browser to select the next sample.

I know it's not a NEW request, but it really would save me a lot of time.

Thanks,

You can now preview 'in place' from the samplebrowser.

when you're in the browser, right-clicking the leftmost icon of samples sends them to the selected channel. It always worked fine for me, it's an easy way to try out samples.

yeah, i was thinking, can't you already do it like gol said? also, correct me if i'm not mistaken, but if you select a sampler generator, let's say your snare of the drumloop, and then go to the filebrowser and audition the samples clicking on them, previewing, you already listen to the sample fed to the channel settings and fx assigned to the snare. that's really handy to me.

What i'd love to see in 5 is a rework of the mixer, add a couple of send tracks, maybe make it not fixed in numbers but modular, adding up inserts and sends as you need, add more routing possibilities (i figure it's easy since it's a software and you dont have anything hardwired like in a real console, but maybe i'm wrong) like routing the sends back to a bus, splitting to 2 tracks, choose pre or post fader send, pre or post fader eq or eq disable, add a lopass filter (for the sub sub bass cut) to the eq and the likes.

I suppose that using the file browser this way DOES work. I've just never used it. I've always used the "Load sample ..." button from inside the channel settings window. I guess I like the windows browser for hunting down and maintaining my samples.

Oh well, the functionality is there. I'll change my workflow.

Does FL can read AKAI cds ? The left browser seem so cool and useful, if it doesn't yet maybe the version 5 will do that ?

Thanks,

Is there a way to go back to the sample that you had before? Or does this basically select the sample to be used?

Post

in fl 4.5 it 's basicly select the sample to be used but you can not go back to the sample you had previuously selected

i just went thru some of the pages here. I can't wait. Correct me if I'm wrong but on page 23 where there is the ad from the magazine, it looks like you can draw in envelopes on the audio tracks. Can you use any effect and draw the envelopes for it. Oh and since I didn't read all the pages, there is going to be an audio stretching engine implemented? So its kinda like SX or Live4? If thats the case then I'm glad I didn't buy Live4. I have been with fruity for a long time and I was hating the idea of learning new software.......I can't wait.
