Hello all.
Is it possible to set the the metronom speed and tab it in with the mouse button.

Right click on the transport bar and select "Edit Tempo, Time Signature and Key". That will pop up the following screen:
There you can use the mouse to tap the tempo. When you're done, hit "OK", and the metronome will play at that tempo.

It's just a pity they don't allow you to drop it below 40bpm.
