dude,

lilchips doesn't own the copyright on all those files! I can't believe that you're back after the first beating you took! You have to have ALL author's permission to distribute copyrighted material not just one or the place you found the files! :x

Give the guy a break. He collects all these samples, puts them together not knowing there was a copywrite issue. Then when he learns there is he goes to the place he got them and asks permission from them to distribute them. He's just trying to be helpful.

lmk,

In the last episode, you claimed in one of your posts, and I quote: "Some of them could be illigal, don`t know, but i kept them to myself and didn`t share. As i said,i have been collecting for ages." http://www.kvr-vst.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=58183

Now you claim that all the files came from lilchips? Well, they are not all from Lilchips! I recognize some of the files from other companies. You still haven't learned?

Most of all.Drumpatterns always sound the same.If i make new drumpatterns that sound the same with my own instruments who knows maybe some one else is going to blame me for using their copyright files.
Not justifying my actions!!

Why did i ever become a do-gooder??

And i collect and distribute so that other people don`t have to spent ages on the internet searching for these files. Not knowing that i would get all this agro about distributing copyright-files in the first place.Remember i`m a do-gooder and there are not many of those around.I know that they had copyrights on them so i stopped distributing.

Good for you, a commendable sentiment.
Not knowing that i would get all this agro about distributing copyright-files in the first place.
Well, trying to distribute files with any sort of copyright is usually going to cause you some problems.
Remember i`m a do-gooder and there are not many of those around.
There's plenty imho. Furthermore, if you expect any sort of recompense for doing good, you aren't considered a 'do gooder' by me.
I know that they had copyrights on them so i stopped distributing.
That's a good plan if you don't want to be sued. Worth noting: in the text you posted before it says...
This product may includeinformation held under copyright of other companies or persons.
Which does make me wonder how lilchips can give you the right to redistribute with this line here:
Please be kind and leave allcopyright markings and information intact in the file(s), especiallyany copies that you pass on to other people.
All in all the text is pretty unclear

Dunno, you would be surprised I think... I once spent three hours looking for just the right pair of chickens.
I play guitar
