Thought I had heard about a plugin for winamp some time ago that let it load vst effects. Couldn't find anything at winamp.com, though..

Anybody heard of this? I could be wrong

Don`t know if they`re on these pages but ohmforce offers effect plugs for winamp also.

I have many vst effects that load into winamp...but they are manufacturer specific.haven`t heard of a vst "wraper" that will load any vst in winamp.

iZotope's Ozone and possibly Vinyl are available for Winamp. But they are DXi. I am not sure if the VST versions work in Winamp.

Actually, I _think_ the winamp version of Ozone is quite basic. It's not the full DX version..

Anyway, I was thinking of something more like a "wrapper" like annode called it. But if it doesn't exist, then...

I'll learn to live with it.

if your soundcard has routing facilities you can always load something like energyXT and have the output of winamp play thru that, and have energyXT provide the output to your speakers...

You can load DX plugins into Winamp using this:

so if you wrap your VST's using a VST-DX wrapper you could run almost anything you like (or use the DX versions as most have both).
