I really struggeled with posting the text above. With Catalina Apple has introduced 'software notarisation'. They advertize it enhances security. However it is pretty easy to bypass.
Fact is that notarisation gives them complete control over all software which is running on their systems. If they do not like a developer or product they can simply discontinue his development contract ($99 per year) and he is not longer able to sell software on this platform.
