It isn't even controversial in the context provided as it doesn't take the Lord's name in vain.![]()
Though it is obviously good marketing.

There is NOTHING controversial about it. Why haven't we heard about protests toward Coppola for the film name???

honestly, Kuassa having an SS logo in their marketing is more controversial than this.el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote: Sun Oct 20, 2019 4:21 pm Having said that, I do think the naming of their naming of the plugin was inadvisable; at least, unless they were specifically looking to stir up a lot of controversy.
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

Not sure why this has to become controversy Top-Trumps. I have already made it pretty clear that I don't find anything about it controversial. However, I can see which buttons are going to get pushed, and why it will likely stir up controversy. d16 is a polish developer based in Katowice/Poland: I'm pretty sure they all baptized and just wanted to show their piety by choosing "Godfazer" as name for a plugin. What else?

Yeah. I think we're out of those days - now, "transparency" seems much more important. Neither make any impact on me. I don't care what anyone is doing; what they did when they were in their early 20s; what political stance they take; what any of their opinions are. If the product is good, it's good.el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote: Sun Oct 20, 2019 4:40 pmMaybe! Though i never fell the idea that any publicity is good publicity![]()
Anyway. This is obviously a play on words with a non-English pronunciation of the word "fazer". It's mildly amusing.

LMAO, there's absolutely nothing wrong with this name nor any other d16 product names. Nor is there anything wrong with Ohmforce product names. Both of those companies make really nice products, and in the case of Ohmforce, their plugins have been part of my setup since they were conceived, which is like almost two decades.

Would never have had a clue. If that is the case, it's a great 'play'

God Fazer seems to be useful with it's function set. Might have to check out the demo but I'm dissatisfied with the other D16 plugins because of their presets except for Decimort which is excellent to turn digital into vintage analog if it's the right unit in Reason. One request. PLEASE God Fazer & all the other plugins for Reason as rack extensions. Then they're a must buy amongst the drum machines and the 303 emu & God Fazer. Right now only Decimort is available for Reason.
It's not truely mainly designed to decimate the sound many plugs and rack extensions are named wrong or weird.
