Ableton Live Extract Groove from midi clip

Hello guys,

I recently made a bass midi loop that has a nice groove to it, but when I tried to extract the groove and use it on a new clip, only the timing information will be applied to the new clip, no velocity changes. I am wondering if it is how it works in Ableton or did I miss anything.

It should use the velocity. Are you sure you adjusted the parameters to apply velocity? BTW, grooves are just MIDI clips so you can drag one to the arranger and see if the velocity info is there.
