While getting my triplicate backups of audio files
in some semblance of uniformity, I noticed a major discrepancy
between the total number of files, while there was only
a small difference in the total size of the files.

But with around 380 folders at hand, how could I quickly find
a bunch of tiny files hiding who-knows-where? Time for the
search engine to peruse the legacy of linux command savvy
(not my specialty, but it sure is good
to lean on when needed  ) Expecting to find example
commands of some convoluted razzmatazzz,
here is the solution I chose:

:dog: find . -type f :dog:

 this brevity listed the contents of all 380 sub-folders,
so finding one with a plethora of tiny files, was just a matter of
scrolling. Took a minute or so of alphabetized scrolling,
as the folder title began with a 'P'. And it was the weekend,
with a ballgame on the radio as diversion...

This solution typifies linux as a handy musicians toolbox.
Looking for a folder of many small,
but lost (or discovered) files? Presets, text files, photos?
Or in my case, simply a misplaced Audacity project folder.
Embrace the search engine,
fear not the commandline... :hyper:

I also discovered during some large copy/move operations,
that Netflix works with Puppy linux version 'Bionic 64',
if you install google-chrome-stable. Bionic and the
puppy package manager use standard ubuntu repositories.
One less reason to boot windows. :hyper:

Yes folks, the hit-and-miss linux support of
commercial internet media playback has
some linux users keeping a windows partition
alive and well, perhaps also hosting some ilok or other
special sundries...but win 10 lovers
insist the clock is ticking...

Very cool! I'd give your intelligence a much higher mark than, "Bag of Hammers" level though. :hihi:

Hmmm..... I wish I could visit Cologne! :-( Instead I have to continue on this non-stop hamster wheel called work. :-(

I hope those who CAN go have a great time! :-)

The archive link has a youtube channel for the 2018 show sessions,
so it's likely to see the new 2019 sessions available for
us popcorn+coffee attendees who might miss the streams.

Past the chatter, music examples using Sononym at 20 min,

Back in July 2019, the Guitarix coder released XPutty,
as an open source

"damn tiny abstraction Layer to create X11 window/widgets with cairo surfaces"

The link above holds info and links for coders who might
find it a great way to increase productivity. Example code
is also part of the deal

Wusik is having a Group Buy right now. One of the things they are mentioning is that if they get over 500 buyers, they will provide Linux support for all of their products. They are currently at 407 users. :-)

Why? I haven't any their products or whatever, just wonder.

BTW, there is published code of Wusik-ZR https://github.com/WilliamKWusik/Wusik-ZR and I've managed to build and run it on Linux. Though, it's not usable due corrupted sound.

His products tend to be OK, if they are released, but he has a history of… issues.
Apparently he's behaving himself recently, so maybe I should just give him the benefit of the doubt.
