MIDI Freeze is back:)W23 wrote: Mon Feb 11, 2019 6:59 pmMidi FX Freeze is no longer available in the App StoreDavid wrote: Fri Jul 27, 2018 1:46 amYes, but you can do that right now for free, and very well, with AudioCR - Midi FX Freeze.jbw wrote: Would also help if Logic actually recorded the MIDI output.
There is a way to send midi out to another track to capture via IAC. This link had a video. Funny enough, it also mentions the now-defunct Midi FX Freeze

Reason Rack, with all its cool Players, is now available as AU MIDI FX, including sending MIDI CCs out from Reasons modulators:)
Plus, here's a buncha great tips on how the latest Reason can interact with Logic features—pretty cool!

I thought Phrase Box was terrific even when it was VST only (I ran it through Blue Cat's Patchwork MidiFX plugin to use it in Logic). Now that it's "native" MidiFX AU, and with the other added features (finally, group select-and-drag of notes around the plugin display!), it's even better. Extremely happy with this purchase!

I was really hoping for some plugin that would expand of the Modulators function.
Many of the effect plugins don't have MIDI learn so many of the suggested plugins cant be mapped to them.
The Modulator has that awesome learning feature so you can assign anything you like to it!
but just one thing! -.-
What I was looking for & I simply cant not find anything even close.. is the ability to assign more than a single parameter to the <new plugin> like the LFOs in virtually every other DAW.
Replicant3 for example I can easily assign 12 modulations
Login only have 8 MIDIFX slots makes this a real pain in the @%%..
Yes I can do in house automation.. But the point is that once I have done some modulating on one plugin I have nearly no slots for others. & I often like to have more random stuff happening especially for evolving pads, percussive elements & maybe I just want a chaotic random mud pie to chop up.
SQ4 & MP3244 are close.. but without a MIDI learn or CC value they are useless. most Effect plugins have neither.
I have used logic since V4 & this is making me want to learn how to code so that in 2 years I can have this feature, or switch DAW..
Appreciate the thread!
Found some new plugins to keep an eye on!!!
Cheers!

I have this issue too, I have lots of effect plug-ins I’d like to modulate but they don’t have midi learn etc.FallenLeaf wrote: Wed Nov 20, 2024 1:28 pm I was really hoping for some plugin that would expand of the Modulators function.

I’d be happy to hear how you all handle this issue!

This is a great tool thanks for sharing this one.onerob wrote: Tue Nov 26, 2024 3:28 pm This may help. It's free and there's an AU MIDI FX version.

Tho this requires the plugin to have a MIDI learn. which many FX do not.
& Synths Like Current do not have a midi learn option, & no CC number connected to the dials so this plugin like many of the others cant do anything with it.
I have just tried to modulate the MIDI CC of the KorgNano I use. but to no joy.
Looks Like what I am after is ONLY possible if Apples Logic team make this happen!
But I will keep the one installed. it's nice to use & free, such a great price!
Thanks!

You can use Logic's stock MIDI plugin named Modifier to convert certain CC numbers into plugin parameters, without having to rely on MIDI Learn being available in those plugins. There's also a script preset in Logic's Scripter plugin named 'MIDI to Plugin Parameters' that does the same thing but giving you four mappings (or more if you edit the script) in one instance.FallenLeaf wrote: Wed Jan 08, 2025 2:05 pmThis is a great tool thanks for sharing this one.onerob wrote: Tue Nov 26, 2024 3:28 pm This may help. Place either Modifier or Scripter in a MIDI plugin slot after MMM to be able to modulate various plugin parameters using CC numbers (so long as those parameters are automatable).

indeed I can but the limited 8 MIDI FX slots not having free ones is part of the problem.onerob wrote: Wed Jan 08, 2025 3:32 pmYou can use Logic's stock MIDI plugin named Modifier to convert certain CC numbers into plugin parameters, without having to rely on MIDI Learn being available in those plugins. I have been trying to make do with pattern regions. which are good for somethings but sadly lacking.
I do with the Modulator would allow for more LFO's the one per slot & the one per parameter is diabolical!
I just got on to the scripter which is decent but not very convenient!
I am trying to make things work out.
I brought Bitwig so I could modulate the things I needed modulating & then import the audio back in. its less hassle in a weird way.
& some channels have 40+ modulations going on & its easy. but I would like to be able to just use logic. & the Modulator would be great if I could have more than 8 xD
Thanks, I will give this another go with more purpose & see if I can make it work better!
