25 euro coupon. Was hoping for even better than that given I own almost every plugin, but that's low enough to consider if the offer doesn't expire for awhile. I also understand needing to make money as a business

I've only ever demoed Soundtoys, but I'd think that, feature- and emulation-wise, you're covered. You need to demo Godfazer to hear if the sound is that much different. I'm happy that I finally have a one-stop vintage mod shop!noddog wrote: Thu Oct 24, 2019 8:37 pm Does this add anything to the party that I wouldn't already have with the full Soundtoys suite? The Soundtoys package includes Filterfreak, Phase Mistress, Tremolator, but maybe not in as a convenient single plugin like Godfazer. The sound of the Godfazer demos is impressive.

No, not really but it's great anyway - I was pretty surprised with variety of sounds and effects I can pull off with this on a plain pad sound. And the presets - as always with D16 - are a great starting point, or even a final destination.noddog wrote: Thu Oct 24, 2019 8:37 pm Does this add anything to the party that I wouldn't already have with the full Soundtoys suite? Bought Godfazer today. Fazortan 2 is for sale (or trade for Antresol), because I don't think I'll need it anymore now I have Godfazer, your new go-to plugin for chorus, phasing, filtering, rotary speaker emulation and much more.Lotuz2019 wrote: Mon Oct 21, 2019 3:08 pm I have a feeling I won't need Syntorus and Fazortan anymore when Godfazer is released, so for me Godfazer will probably be a replacement.
Holding on to good old Syntorus though until I know how to create the Solina String 2 preset with Godfazer.

If Syntorus 2 and Fazortan 2 do certain specialized things that Godfazer doesn't, then they have a right to exist imo.Stringzy wrote: Fri Oct 25, 2019 7:47 am been waiting for Syntorus 2, but with this Godfazer now, seems it's no longer an option for d16.

Bit of a shame since Syntorus still seems more flexible than Godfazer as a pure Chorus device, with more options and settings. I guess having a separate phaser, flanger and chorus, plus one combined unit was a bit too much to maintain. All they have to do really is provide scaled versions of the GUI for Syntorus... It's already amazing in terms of sound and features. I mean, they even have the larger bitmaps already, because the pictures of Syntorus on their website are huge compared to the actual plugin..Stringzy wrote: Fri Oct 25, 2019 7:47 am been waiting for Syntorus 2, but with this Godfazer now, seems it's no longer an option for d16.
Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care

Basically Syntorus version 1.5.0. if the only change is the scalable GUI and not the redesigned GUI. I wonder what else can be added/improved for version 2. But that's a different (yet interesting) topic, I guess.
I also wonder if D16 has plans to develope a separate, more advanced filter plugin.

Hi,
As for Syntorus preset called Solina String 2 it's rather enriched approximation or original ARP chorus I'm afraid - we've been constantly gaining experience as developer. First of all the preset features some stereo phase shift which contributes to wide stereo stage. However, first revisions of ARP chrous were mono effects and with Godfazer we're closer than ever with its sound. Second ARP chorus has 2LFO => 3BBD processing path (which is exactly how Godfazer produces this chorus) whereas Syntorus has only 2LFO => 2BBD , resulting in bit thinner sound. But what's most important about Godfazer's ARP Ensemble is that it reproduces famous ARP's trick with 120 degree phase shift between all BBDs which contributes to more overall smooth and warm sound.
Kind regards,
Sebastian / D16
In ARP Ensemble part in Misty Comost I used stereo reverb on top of whole example, which is audible in Dry part too. That's why the example may sound wider than just applied Godfazer onto signal.Lotuz2019 wrote: Thu Oct 24, 2019 2:17 pmFor some reason the ARP Ensemble Classic preset sounds narrow compared to the Misty Cosmos sound example. The Syntorus preset Solina String 2 sounds much more spacious. It's like the mono vs stereo ensemble of the real Solina. Am I overlooking the stereo preset?Lotuz2019 wrote: Mon Oct 21, 2019 1:15 pm
Btw the excellent ARP Ensemble preset in the Misty Cosmos sound example sounds very similar to my favourite Syntorus preset Solina String 2. Just dial back the Dry/Wet knob to around 12 o'clock what I usually do.![]()
I also like the Oldtimer preset a lot. I think it could sound great on organ sounds as well.![]()

Thank you Sebastian!
I'll experiment with a stereo/spacial effect to see if I can enrich the ARP Ensemble Classic preset similar to the Solina String 2 preset. If that doesn't work well, then I could of course insert Syntorus before Godfazer (with Ensemble on bypass). But ideally I want to use only Godfazer.

So all the BBD chorus / ensemble models are new and not taken from Syntorus?m00gie wrote: Fri Oct 25, 2019 11:17 am Hi,

Also, are the smallestone models in Godfazer the same as the ones in Fazortan2? The manual doesn't really make that clear.

15 pages of garbage. 2-3 posts about the plugin. Good job, guys.
I only own Fazortan--or is it FAH-zer-tan?--and Toraverb. Never upgraded to the 2.0 versions. Got my personal offer from d16. Not a bad price.
Demoing now. One of the things I like about GODFAHZER is the "Constant" modulator. It's cool to dial in a phaser sound and leave it. To me the plugin seems pretty good, pretty refined. Clean and creative sound. Must put in more demo time, however.
