I think the name of the plugin is a play on Godfather, like the one who makes you an offer you can't refuse. They are not making any kind of religious statement.

Godfazer doesn't contain a flanger, but it does have a chorus, phaser and filter.

And the ability to combine these with frequency manipulations.
I did some testing with Antresol, Fazortan and Godfazer on similar settings.
It sounds like Godfazer has a bit broader frequency range from the older plugins.
