Yep me too - Is this the shortest period between major releases? Anyways 240 dollars to get updates to stuff I barely use .... no thanks. Rather not have this stuff again either (think I've got 7 v10 waveshells now):

I dream of more WavesShells! I can hear the ocean.

I have a lot of V10 plugins out of WUP, so I'd have to renew, but tbh why ? They work. Maxxvolume if I remember right was a freebie from Waves, its still at V9 with me, it doesn't show up in the new Waves Central, yet its there to be loaded in Cubase, so they broke Waves Central lol

I am almost scared to look at the WUP prices. Not that I will update now, as this is an obvious money grab.
Don't trust those with words of weakness, they are the most aggressive

That wasn't me who said that. "granted" said that, plus I dont think we are allowed to talk about what you brought up.

Do I read this right in FAQ? https://www.waves.com/support/waves-v11 ... -questions that ONLY support older v9 and v10 running at the same time as v11? So if you're at v8 you're kinda forced to WUP?

I'll wait for a Black Friday WUP discount. Most of my Waves plugins are WUP'd through next May, but I'll go all v11 or not at all. Not gonna run mixed versions with all of the multiples Waves shells. I've got 7 just with v10.

Nah luckily the older ones going back to v6 are still available, you just are forced to download the whole Waves suite and then select which plugins you want in the installer - https://www.waves.com/downloads#older . I think they just mention as far back as v9 in the FAQ as they assume we've all updated to that version at least by now

V11 is not officially supported on Windows 7 (Only Windows 10 for PC). Has anyone tried V11 on Windows 7?
Play it by ear

Next year this time around v12 will be released. This will be Waves new business modell.

What is this fuzz all about? We can still use our older (V9, V10) plugins right? Why would I upgrade them to v11 as long as I use the same computer & OS and everything works as it's supposed to?

plexuss wrote: Mon Oct 28, 2019 4:17 pm The best thing you can do to let Waves know how you feel is not give them any more of your money. That's my approach. If you feel stuck, that you have to, then you are showing them they can do these kinds of revnue-grab things. I put my money into better companies and products now, of which there are many options. :borg: :borg: :borg:
On the right track. But you'd really need to write to them for it to have any chance. Letting them know why you'll no longer be supporting their company is something tangible, and if enough people do it they at least have some clarity as to why people are looking elsewhere.

So it's just graphic update and bugfixes...no code revision or new algos for the Renaissance pack ? I don't see any reason to pay for a graphical update...
Using the words "reimagined" or "rebirth" for just new GUIs is a joke.

ok so i have a couple of questions. i believe the wup covers v10 to v11 if you bought within the past year. i think the wup covers for a year. my question is how do you know which plugins are still under wup, and which ones are not? because i'm only going to download v11 if all my plugs come with it. i'm not going to keep multiple versions on my hard drive.
