Griels didn't close any topic that I saw. Only a mod (such as pHz) could do that.

Well I listened to the remix, while I cannot say for sure its pure, I am sure it’s a remix by Leo of something that would not present a ton of bricks to fall – however should any copyright infringement take place there is a contact email at my site for any such offences posted from my servers, to be reported, so action can be taken if needed.

The other remixes I am told by Leo will not be placed on the server before permission is sort from all sources, so I think he does now understand the importance of copyright.

It’s a break he can take, walk away from these issues and start over imo Leo. You have apologised about the drum thing, end of story, and it takes two to tango.

I enjoyed the vibe Leo :) , the mix was cool and clear, it has a bitter sweet taste to it – I guess the title did it justice in this respect. The melodies were hunted down throughout the mix with the siren type following.

Leo, what you need to do is get yourself over to SectionZ and get together with some of the other artists there and ask to remix some of their original work, you will find it both easy to upload and get feedback on the type of mixes you do. You will have the practice and sonic palette available in your genera.

Hi, just passing.

LMK, I appreciate that you're trying to contribute to the KVR community, and that your knowledge of copyright is so far patchy, so this is in no way meant as an attack (and your apologies are accepted), more of a clarification, and maybe you have finally grasped this message:

You NEED to make sure you have permission to redistribute ALL content that you share. So please, only offer stuff that you explicitly have permission to redistribute (as stated in the copyright details) or that you created yourself (without in turn violating other copyrights, e.g. sampling copyrighted songs without the copyright holders permission).

As you still seem cloudy about copyright issues, it's fortunate you aren't offering any material at the moment.

I'll put up a sticky about this forthwith.

In any case, it appears the message has finally got through, so please carry on discussing your music!
Music with dinner is an insult both to the cook and the violinist.

Hi! Leo,

When I say start afresh, what I mean is to make sure every sample and sound you use from now on that you would like others to hear, and give feedback on, is from a source that is Royalty Free, where once mixed into a tune the file can then be distributed for others to hear.

Royalty Free does also have sub clauses in at times, where the original artist would like to hear what you have done with the samples you use, or, you may be excluded from commercial offerings with some free sample sets.

The original tunes n beat that you mix up, You should know the original artist, you should contact them and let them know what you would like to do, and ask if its ok with them – most will be happy to hear an alternative view.

It’s not about money – or – how much you will be fined – its about ‘respect’ – respect for your fellow artist, pure and simple.

I have two suggestions,

The first is to get a load of ‘sure’ sounds and mix them in with someone’s tune you have permission to alter.

Check out the sample sites from this link,

http://www.kvr-vst.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=37272

Get a tune together from this – let me know and I will upload that to the server for you - for others to listen and give feedback here.

You may be able then to collaborate with others here after they hear what you can do - site the source in all cases atm while you get to grips with whats hot and whats not.

The second suggestion is to get over to SectionZ and talk with some of the artists there and ask to remix some of their work.

This way you will be working in the knowledge that you are not going to be treading on peoples toes, and also get feedback, not only from the original artists, but from others too. It’s a much better world Leo.

Best regards,

Peter
