Why is it so incredibly confusing to see how to buy an update from Syn’X? I can’t seem to find it anywhere.

Yes it's a permanent path with a coupon in your account if you own the MiniSyn'X

Iirc it's because the upgrade from Syn'X 1 to Syn'X 2 is free.
I found this in an old Xils newsletter in my archives :

Note 2 : The Upgrade from Syn’X to the Syn’X 2 is FREE for all Syn’X 1 owners. (June 2015)

I'll ask Xils to confirm this and post the answer here, but you might well already be the proud owner of the Syn'X 2.

Sorry did not tried new version yet but noticed in pre-release info such moment:
"8 layers and True Unison combined : Start by thinking about an Unison Mode where you can sculpt not only the number of oscillators , but slight modulations for every parameter among hundreds, including filters, envelopes, LFOs, stereo postion, Sync, RM, FM etc."

Just interesting what kind of FM meant ? A bit more clarify. And perhaps some examples would be interesting.

Frequency modulation - In the mod matrix you can use the oscillators to modulate a whole host of destinations, including all the other oscillators in a patch

It was in version 2, but I dont think it was possible to modulate from layer to layer within a patch. eg. you could use layer 1's oscillators to modulate layer 2's destinations...etc

Thanks! You should tell Xavier not to bury that nice fact! I mean, I’m already a proud proponent of XILS and I love his plugins, but I’d think that letting owners know about something like that on their site is important. I totally missed the email and I did search for it.

Yes it's the MiniSyn'X factory library brought to Syn'X 2. It has been updated recently btw with additional patches for the release of mini v2.5, and also a better translation.

The gui put me off in v1 but this is much better the middle setting is just a smidge to big for 1080p tv. I already have the pkb3 i thought it would be similar. It is in some ways. But the only way i would buy a vst now if it is going to be useful. Synx seems very useful. The layer feature is really good. Bit like the Ensoniq sequencer in some ways . Overall 8 and a half moogs out of 10

. Because of the complexity really have to know synths to get the best from this.
