Glad to hear that the keyboard could be hidden. What's the different between size and scale?

Checking out the demo and really impressed , but the gui animations doubles the cpu usage and it's not audio related ( only shown in taskmanager which also shows gui threads )
When switching to the browser mode , cpu halves again .
Is there a way t turn off the animations ?

There is no Icarus2 demo. The previous poster must be talking v1.6.
$90 is a bit steep for an update to a synth, but the product seems to be a whole lot more than a few nips and tucks.

Does this mean that you can layer patches in Icarus 2? They say it's a workstation, how many patches can we layer?

I'm feeling it the same way, it is perhaps one the most pricey upgrade to a soft synth (and the competition have an advantage here), but at the same time a lot of cool things were added and improved, it feels like a complete different synth.

Dune 2 to 3 was expensive for what was added (but I still upgraded!), it’s always worth remembering that not only do you get the instant new features, you also generally get a run of free upgrades on the new version...2.1 ..2.5 etc and Tone2 have been very generous in that regard over the years.

strictly speaking only one layer can be programmed (unlike ElectraX). However, if you count the drumsequencer as an layer, it is a 2-layer synth.trusampler wrote: Tue Nov 05, 2019 2:48 am Does this mean that you can layer patches in Icarus 2? I tend to think of workstations being multi timbale rather than layering to make one sound. I’m not sure I would say this is a workstation, but it’s a very powerful and flexible synth!
