well from my utterly selfish & egoistic pov: I propose SPECIAL (labeled) demo version that would time-out after 10, or 20, or 30 minutes of usage. examples of practice are everywhere.

and if it would allow saving/loading presets ...

Is it me or is this one of the best software reverb ever.

I think I might like this more than powercore/uad's reverb for a lot of uses....

well as far as I understand Princeton Digital implemented the original algorythms of the Eventide SP2016 in their own Hardware 2016 - and three of those algos are available as HTDM plug-ins for Pro Tools on Mac..... now one of them has been ported to VST ...with the same sound....

and if all HTDM plug-ins have a CPU usage as small as this.... I wonder why there's dedicated hardware anyway

Oh yeah, I mean Eventide has their own Reverb plugin for PT that uses supposedly their best reverb algorythms from their top of the line hardware reverbs. Sometimes it makes me wish I had PT.

could it be that these guys at Princeton are just f**kin geniuses. I have Powercore's Classicverb and this baby is right up there, totally different but i'd say just as amazing. But the part that blows me away is the cpu usage is so light. Oh man i hope they decide to make those other PT plugs. The hardware 2016 is very expensive, around 2000$, so 200$ is a real steal.

does the hardware 2016 have halls? I'm wondering how those sound?

I'm mostly curious why a lot of reverb plugins nowadays mostly are rooms and plates, none of the other algorythms.

okay the Eventide seems cool, feature wise.... having a compressor and all

but I already have compressors and delays and ...fuckin hell I just can't afford this ProTools Stuff and I wanna keep using Tracktion

and I didn't know how good native reverbs could sound until I tried the 2016

I can at least attest my love for my Eventide DSP-4000's reverbs.

Some people prefer Lexicon or TC over it, but my love sticks with Eventide.

On the other hand, if you have employees to pay, mouths to feed, and a living to make, charge what you feel is right. I'm sure they have a family to look after just like you and me.
