Well, I’m a “pro muso” and “studio producer” and I use Windows, so there you are.

OK, tbh, calling me a studio producer is a very far stretch. And I am further away from being a pro muso than from the moon. But I use windows!

Btw, how many emacs users does it take to screw in a light bulb? - 4. One to write the extension, three to handle all the key commands necessary to call it.

Looks like as a Mac user it's an endless struggle about what to update and what not to update, just to keep everything working properly.

Not at all. Most people update and everything works. All my NI software worked after the update.

Might not be a good idea to take this thread in the direction of discussing Catalina instead of Windows as it might not stay unlocked for too long if the arguments in other Catalina threads are anything to go by...

i have it on good authority that statistically, windows users are more likely to need to visit their gp regularly.
