Help with changing channels in the Edirol VSC in Sonar 3

I am using Sonar 3 and am trying to access the different instruments in the Edirol VSC. Everything works fine with instrument 1. When I created a second MIDI channel and attempted to route it to MIDI channel 2, it still plays from instrument 1 of the Edirol VSC.

How can I use the different channels of the Edirol VSC?
