I was given this Magix 2005 as a gift. Now I need to figure it out. If you have Music Studio and would like to share anything with me please do so. I don't know if I must connect musical instruments to produce midi files or will the program do it for me. Your help is needed on this program!

I have the 2004 flavor of this program. It's actually 2 programs; Midi studio is a midi sequencer based on an old version of Logic and Audio studio, an audio editor/recorder which is loosely based on Samplitude. It come with a large and complex (badly translated) manual and, if you're just starting out, you won't get very far without reading it.
Personnaly, I've spent about 3 weeks trying to learn it before I realised the serious limitation of this program and I don't use it anymore, save for occasional (very rare) midi to score translation and printing.
