Oof, I just remembered, I actually got a salt lamp for Christmas last year. I don't think I've opened it yet, oof, so that actually might be a good idea. Thanks! I wouldnt've remembered it without you!Unaspected wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2019 11:29 am You could start with gateway LEDs, such as Christmas lights.
Of course, there are plenty of other neat looking lighting options, depending on your taste. I have a couple of salt lamps, one either side of each monitor for my home setup.
Looking for a cheap, but good, audio interface.

Lol, ok.vurt wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 7:11 pm as you're in a shared space, you have to consider others.
as a parent myself, ill tell you now, forget the lights, you wont win this round.
however, if you go with "your right mum/dad, it's a shared space so i need to be considerste"
you may find a different reaction on something in the future

I would think that is more a matter of personal taste. All I would add is that if you are thinking of placing ornaments anywhere then make sure they don't rattle and vibrate in sympathy with your speakers.Fox_GAMING_NTF wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2019 11:23 amAny other ideas, like, aesthetic stuff, besides lights?Unaspected wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2019 11:29 am You could start with gateway LEDs, such as Christmas lights.

Definitely get that salt lamp out though.
If you want to risk electrocution then you could always find an old cathode ray tube TV and turn it into an oscilloscope.

Oof, that might be cool, and I do have a CRT TV, but I'd rather not get electrocuted, and since CRT TV's are old, they could break anytime, probably.Unaspected wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2019 9:48 amI would think that is more a matter of personal taste. Are there any good cheap oscilloscopes out there that you know of? I really like the look of the ones that have(, I think it's the ones with a blueish-green grid background with a glow-y green line), I don't know if they are cheap or not, thought, those ones in particular.Unaspected wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2019 9:48 amI would think that is more a matter of personal taste. EDIT: I think I'm looking for / thinking of analog oscilloscopes, but are there any analog-looking ones? Like, ones that look like analog ones, with the glow-y line/ display?
EDIT 2: I think I'm talking about CRT-Screen Oscilloscopes, is there any good, new ones that imitate, or actually have CRT Screens? Based on how the CRT is older technology, would it be a good idea to invest in one, like, are they prone to breaking faster?, Etc.?
EDIT 3: Ok, I'm looking on eBay, and I'm wondering;
for an old Analog (Oh, that too, I've found out that the type of oscilloscope I'm looking for is called an Analog Oscilloscope) Oscilloscope, is 20MHz ok? What is a decent amount for today?
