And it looks what I need, but I dont have the budget for this,
Is there any free vst that does the same thing?

I tried different riders and levelers (Melda, Hornet, iZotope, ...) but to be honest, no other plugin did this nearly invisible quality riding than the Waves one.

and via resellers like audiodeluxe, plugindiscounts, you can get them about $25 or sometimes less, when waves are selling them for $29, and most of the times they are on sale, and sometime 1+1. never bought higher than $25, except for gold (a bundle), i bought it for $50 plus.. next to nothing, i must say.
and when somebody comes around to mention WUP, don't be intimidated. i have v10 and v11 versions, i do not WUP them, the V10 versions, untill they don't work anymore..
and vocal rider does a great job, but still i prefer, manually.

Waves Update Plan
https://www.waves.com/support/waves-update-plan
if you buy a plugin from waves, you get one year of updates, and support (support after that year isn't really totally gone, i had never had to contact their support, so the difference could be, that support is limited to, for example your HD, or SSD crashed with the licenses on it, you can get 1 time per year (if i remember correctly from reading posts about it) the chance to restore them. by the way the licenses can also be put on a normal usb stick.).
so, if you are on a mac, wup is more important than on windows. you don't have to "wup", the plugins will still work, you don't get updates anymore. they work untill your os, or daw does not support them anymore, that can be long time, on windows...

There's also Outlaw as a relative new comer
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0KGOWF8d84
Currently on sale at PB as part of a vocal bundle
https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/ ... cal-Bundle
It has a full settings panel with speed controls, so in that regard it blows Vocal Rider out of the water (Vocal Rider only has 2 speeds) and has become my main rider tool. Because of its speed controls, Outlaw it is not just for vocals, you can use it on anything. And if you don't want to fiddle with the speed controls, just use the presets and you'll find something that works for anything including drums.
However, Outlaw does not write the automation to the DAW. I don't use that feature, but it's one of the main selling points of Vocal Rider. I don't use this because I find it less cumbersome to just set the plugin right and then manually automate any problem spots caused by the artistic choices in the song.
