Stupid question. I still think rapid is a bit harsh for analogue sounds? Im no way a pro but is it missing some vintage filters? Of course i dont expect a DIVA but when i load up diva, repro etc i just find it sounds cery different. Thats of course the difference why you have more synths and not one but i just try to understand why.

Not just the filters, but filters too. In a hardware poly, if you press just one key after another (bassline or melody), one can have a round robin of voice modules (which wont be be 100% identical due to components’ value tolerances).

Diva allows you to do exactly that, Repros have that emulated under the hood, I “think”. Rapid must be manually set up for the task and I’m not even sure if it can go that deep. You spend the entire matrix doing drifts and stuff... better use each synth for what it does best.

Since Rapid 1.7 there are three new Filtertypes which are based on analog filtermodels. And also check the Osc-Insert FX "Organic Drift". It lets your Osc drift like analog Synths. The "Warming" parameter reduces also the high frequencies and passes a decent tube. This should help you to create analog sounding sounds.

In the presetfolder "- Features 1'7" you could see how it works and the last preset with the name "Analog Emulator" is a perfect example for it.

Yes. A cinematic XT. Here is another preset of it.

@Caine 123 :
Rapid can sound analog, the new filters and drift mode are nice, plus the envelopes are awesome.
Since the release, I hope for some cycle voices trigger options. Perhaps, mpe could bring that in the futur. Triggering voices through cycle could brings analogish feelings in a more gentle way than a classic flip flop.
Ps : tiny random sources are your friends :)

The drift is really making a difference if analog sound is required. It also enhances the unison.
Here is an idea for Parawave: make the OD available outside the FX-Type section, so it can be enabled all the time and with other OSC FX's. To keep the same layout of the OSC section the placement of OD could be done like this: add an "OD" labeled small button between the bass and treble knobs. With this button you switch between the parameters Bass/Treble and Warm/Drift. When warm and drift knobs are at 0 the OD is bypassed.

Nice! That sounds great. :)

After updating I got occational (but freaquent) "Activate your license" messages. After that I need to remove Rapid and load it again. When I check about section, serial is there. Does anyone else have same problem? (checked last few pages of this thread but did not found any.)

Edit: W10, FLStudio 20.5

Deactivate the auto sleep/disable VST function in FLStudio for Rapid.
