Well, if you don’t like the new features after a 10 year long status quo, if you don’t like the new content, and what’s been added and improved, then don’t buy it...

Post

I just said that! Reading is FUNdamental!

I know. I just don’t agree with you that there’s nothing new in N3. Doesn’t mean I will buy upgrade right away.

Post

I didn't say anything like that! I asked what makes it worth the price!? My query is an attempt to gain knowledge on the subject as I just discovered this thread, not a forum to tear down the greatness of ReFX and their almighty business model. A little expression of dismay isn't necessarily a terrible sin against the sonic gods. If you have an answer to my question, then by all means, spill the beans! I suspect no one really knows, just yet. But I'm trying to find out.

Also, I never understood why software developers who also make 100s of sound banks can't/won't include a few free banks to sweeten the deal to faithful users (buying their banks through the years) who are now facing the need to shell out some significant scratch for an upgrade!?
That’s the part I disagreed with you. From what I understand, the number of new presets in N3 will correspond to « a couple of free banks ».

Of course you can disagree and explain critics. But I can also disagree with you on some points and also express it.

Look, it's too early for me to travel any further down this troll parade. I was just asking a question, and made the mistake of adding a few personal thoughts, evidently. Continue on with your precious hobby, I have miles to go before I sleep.

Is KVR nothing more than a troll battleground these days!? And THAT'S why I stopped coming here. But I remember a day when there was fine social camaraderie and support from fellow musicians here, even when confronting differing opinions and views (oh, the horror!). Guess I'll chalk that up to "the good ol' days"! Onward with the windmill battles...

you said reading is fundamental, well obviously you didnt read much more than the last page :) Nevermind:
Of course there are more features then just the UI, read here (and still more to come). Yes there are even 350 new sounds, which is the equivalent to 3 XP packs almost

I mean it would appear to be little or no skin off their end!? And it would sure make the pain of paying less searing and more satisfying for us loyal and faithful supporters! (cue humming of the Canadian Nation Anthem faintly in the background)
Nexus includes 10 free expansions, and reFX gives Christmas expansions every year.

You’re bashing a developer with inacurrate claims. I disagreed with you with facts, not trolling. If you want to share opinions, please do so with respect and without being defensive when someone is arguing about your opinion.

Yes, as I explained, I had just discovered the thread. Reading IS FUNdamental, but scanning through 30 pages of posts to find the gold isn't - and hence my query, as I explained!

"Nevermind" he says to a faithful user. Lovely professionalism!

I will agree the 350 new sounds is a nice touch. Sorry you couldn't reply to my question in a professional manner without the need to lash out! It's the ReFX way!!! And you wonder why so many people despise ReFX and Nexus (even though I support both entities). Oh well...

Thanks, LC.

The way you address people and ReFX from your posts today, you should look in the mirror to understand why you get answers the way you do...

You clearly didn't even bother reading the FRONT PAGE on refx.com about the new features before posting your essay. No wonder Manuel gets tired of these kind of posts.

The facebook fanpage is even worse. I actually admire Manuel for even responding to people with absolutely no common sense.
